Jameelah Philips – Dancer

Jameelah Phillips has been an all round performer for the past 17 years. This primary school teacher, community activist and mother of one is a member of dance companies such as Elle NYTT, Barataria Community Council and the Astor Johnson Repatory Dance Theater. She has performed in numerous plays and dance shows both locally and internationally, representing the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as dancer and actor in Carifesta (Suriname), World Cup (Germany) and a number of other countries. Jameelah was crowned Miss La Rene Rive in 2004 and also won the title of best female dancer in the Prime Ministers Best Village Trophy Competition in 2005. Jameelah has been one of Nadia’s primary dancers since the early days of her career.
